WESTERN AUSTRALIAN
APIARISTS' SOCIETY

MARGARET RIVER REGION CHAPTER

The Margaret River Region Chapter meets in Margaret River but covers the whole area between Cape Naturalist and Cape Leeuwin, from Dunsborough to Augusta. We meet on the second Thursday of the month and try to provide a forum for apiarists at all levels. The majority of members are at the inexperienced end of the spectrum.

We have our own apiary site at the Margaret River High School and run regular hive inspections and mentoring sessions. We also hold our monthly meetings at the School in the Agriculture classroom. See directions below.

There is no special membership fee (your WAAS fee covers that).  Currently we have had nearly 100 participants with about 30 attending each session. To find out more or to sign up to our mailing list please contact us at margaretriver@waas.org.au.

WAAS members visiting the region from Perth are most welcome to join us!

Entry to the Agriculture classroom varies depending on where the livestock are grazing. Currently it is via the TAFE entry off Bussell Highway.
