    HONEY TASTING & COMPETITION 2026!

    Thursday 14th May 2026

    Meeting topics:

    • Honey tasting and competition!
      Instructions:
      Members may bring as many samples of their own honey in standard, unlabelled (!) 200-500g glass jars as they wish. Each jar will be given a random number.
      Competition entry fee is $5 per jar (cash only).
      Participants will receive as many dippers as there are jars of honey and a score sheet to rate each jar of honey concerning 3 criteria: colour/appearance, smell/aroma and taste.
      The honey with the highest number of points wins.
      The member with the best honey receives our prestigious "Honey of the year" trophy!

    Cost (cash only): 

    • $5/person (meeting & refreshments) plus 
    • $5/unlabelled jar of honey to enter the competition
